I agree about the zune, i got mine about 2 months ago and i love it. Having the radio is really convinient cause i do get tired of my songs sometimes and enjoy scanning the radio for new download ideas. The screen is actually pretty good too and i watch movies on it all the time in the subway. I got mine from http://zune.megafreebie.com/ so it only ended up costing me $20. Really good legit website, got it to me in 2 weeks. I think i'm just gonna enjoy my zune for as long as its battery lasts and then by that time maybe the touch will be at a reasonable price

Size isn't much of an obstacle for me. That's why I don't see much special in the MacBook Air and why I find the Nokia N800 to be a great piece of media playing electronics.

From what I hear, the Archos is great, but I'm still a little stuck on the Zune (30GB for $110, 80GB for $235).

But hey, who knows? There'll probably be a new mp3 player that will trash 'em all in a few months...

I recently got an archos 605. A little pricy for a media player ($330 for 80gb), but worth it with all of the stuff it can do. It has touch screen, wifi, speakers, plays protected wma files, 800 x 480 display, opera widgets, flash games (up to flash version 7. Although i think they are making a new firmware that supports up to 9, this thing is not made for games at all) and lots of other stuff. Also, if you're willing to pay another $100, it can double as a dvr, which is one of the really cool features.

The con that everyone has about it though is its size. It is rather big compared to pretty much anything else, but it still fits in my pocket, and so long as it does that, its not too big. Its thickness is also really annoying, and if you want a little thinner of a model, get the 30gb (or 4gb if you're crazy) version

Its a pretty good device, but would be a ton more popular if it wasnt for its size.

Btw, if the size of this thing bothers you, dont ever get the archos 705. I have no idea what they were thinking when they made this. I thought they were pushing it on the 605, but this thing is crazy. It is 7.05" x 4.96" x .775", which is just insane. On top of that, it weighs 22oz. It looks nice, but is way too big, heavy, and expensive for me.
